Bishop & First Lady Parker

As Presiding Bishop of the Full Gospel Baptist Alliance, Bishop Parker stands in apostolic succession through the Patriarch of the Worldwide Anglican Church, the Most Rev. Dr. Christopher Lwanga Tusubira, by the laying on of hands.

(L to R) Archbishops Parker, Tusubira, and Beaderstadt

At the base of the Presiding Bishop’s Coat of Arms is his ecclesiastical heraldry, which is a Marian Blue Shield emblazoned with Dominican iconography. The Evangelical Order of Preachers is represented by the Hound of the Lord, holding a torch set on fire by the Holy Spirit. The Crossed Brooms are presented in honor of our Dominican example Saint Martin de Porres.

In addition to the standard ecclesiastical heraldry of any episcopal coat of arms, the Presiding Bishop’s Mitre represents the his claim to Apostolic Succession, the Jerusalem Cross represents the stole and missionary charge passed on to him at his ordination to the Priesthood, and the Dominican iconography represents his espousal to the Church as a servant leader.

The motto “All Means to One End” came to him by divine revelation during a time of fervent prayer and intercession near the six-month anniversary of his archdiaconate.  Its scriptural basis is 1 Corinthians 9:22, “To the weak I became weak, so that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that I might by all means save some” (NRSV).  That one end is the Evangelical Dominican mission: the salvation of souls.

With over 20 years of ordained ministry in various denominational and non-denominational churches across the United States and abroad, the Most Rev. Dr. Abraham David Parker now serves as Presiding Bishop of the Full Gospel Baptist Alliance, an Evangelical association of Baptist churches. Having earned a second PhD in Theology Studies after a Doctor of Philosophy in Education from Northcentral University, Bishop Parker also received a Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from Grand Canyon University, ministers in song as The Voice of One, and is founder of the Evangelical Order Preachers.

Dr. Parker is also Instructor of Leadership & Professional Studies at Diakonos Training Centeran active member of the Evangelical Theological Society, and under care of the Episcopal Relations Council.
